Also called collagen induction therapy (CIT), Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure resulting in a younger look! It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds stimulates the body to make more collagen and elastin, which heals the skin and helps a person look younger. Microneedling may help with issues like: Acne, hair loss (also called alopecia), dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation), large pores, reduced skin elasticity, scars, stretch marks, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles. A minimum of 6 sessions is recommended for optimal results. This treatment is not possible under these circumstances: Presence of Inflammatory lesions, Active herpes labialis, warts, moles, Chronic skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis, Immunosuppressed patients, including patients on chemotherapy and extreme keloidal tendencies, Vascular diseases, cardiac abnormalities. Blood clotting conditions, and History of Diabetes. It is not recommended for Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
